Panthera Leo in French fashion Comp!

One of my new pieces as part of Panthera Leo Collection is this new statement collar. The piece has been entered into a competition called White Swan with French fashion magazine Madame Figaro and Carnet de Mode an online platform for new designers. The top voted pieces will be featured on the sight and be shown at a luxury wedding event in Paris! Voting is still open so I really need your help to stay in the top 25 to (hopefully) show my work in beautiful Pareeeeeee! You can use this link to vote which will be really appreciated! (you also have to follow the link they email you to make sure you're not a robot).

Fun in Wales!

Yesterday was the Cymru Contemporary Craft Fair, part of the event of open studios and art events that are still on going in North Wales as part of Helfa Gelf.

Now that I'm back in the countryside for a few months it was nice to be part of an event which brings local makers together and connects them to the public.

There was a great atmosphere and lots of different disciplines with a mixture of new graduate designers and other experienced makers demonstrating their skills.

This was all amidst the beautiful music of a harpist which was a real treat.

There was some moments of challenging weather but the lovely bunting bedecked marquee stood firm and we even got some sunshine!

I had to check out some of the local sights while I was there such as...GREAT BRITAIN'S smallest HOUSE!

Check out the bin used for scale. The house really is tiny. (There was a pic with me on too but the bin was better to show the scale as for all you know I could be a giant so could have been a trick)

Conwy delicacies(triple choc & honeycomb)

A big thanks to the Buckley/Mellor crew, Catrin Mostyn Jones and everyone else that got helped to make the event happen and all the fab people I got to meet on the day!

Cymru Contemporary Craft Fair

This Saturday, 17th September I will be at Cymru Contemporary Craft Fair, which is part of the massive Helfa Gelf* art trail (North Wales' biggest open studio event)! Created to highlight artists and makers in the North Wales area, there will be a fantastic and diverse selection of ceramics, jewellery, sculpture, metalwork, woodwork and textiles. Set on the beautiful Quayside of Conwy (in a Marquee not far from the Castle in case the weather misbehaves) it will be a nice environment to pick up unique pieces for yourself, your home or any other birthdays or anniversaries coming up that you might need ideas for.

The timing also gives the opportunity to commission pieces before the hectic Christmas rush if you're looking for something really different and special. This is a really great chance to meet the makers and see them with their work, so you know where a piece comes from, how it's made and who made it which you just won't find on the high-street. This is also the first time I will be showing my work in a selling environment like this so I will really look forward to seeing you there! ( I have also been working on some really exciting new pieces which I will preview at the event!)

Keep checking my facebook page and twitter for updates and some exclusive treats in celebration of the event!

Sat 17th September 11am - 5pm

New Space!

The 1st of September was my first day in my new stu-stu-studio! In between my current projects I have been cracking on with, I unpacked some of the items in my mineral library and thought that some quick print studies would help me settle in.

I ain't no square, I'm cuboid man.
