This is no thaw...this is spring!

Small tufts of miscellaneous plant life protruding from the snow.
Chunks of ice shelved in nooks and crannies.
Surfaces and textures revealed by the melting white blanket.

frozen view

My current status is as a busy bee working on the new collection, but in the meantime here are some photos from my visit back home where the snow and frost had encased some of the house. I was looking at these from the inside thank goodness, with a good few layers on, but as pre-warning, I advise you to be cosy indoors and holding a hot cup of tea when looking at these pictures.

As the ice melts you can see more of the snow and tall trees outside, and it starts to look a bit like an impressionist painting with smudgy oil paint and brush strokes. (I think).

Marbled Facet Ring

This is a privately commissioned Facet ring using white, grey and black marbled together to create the swirling patterns, along with real marble and granite inclusions. These random markings contrast the geometric shape and crisp edges.
